Personal intermediary business includes 5 categories: payment settlement, bank card, agency, transaction and others
1 Payment settlement
Payment settlement means the paid service related to currency payment and fund transfer arising from the relations of creditor¡¯s rights and debts which are dealt with for the client by CEB.
1.1 Settlement in domestic currency
1.1.1 Intra-city withdrawal and transfer at off-site counter, which means intra-city/ off-site deposit, withdrawal and transfer services provided by the Bank for its clients.
1.1.2 Domestic remittance, a kind of settlement service whereby the payer entrusts the Bank to make the remittance for a receiver at another place. Remittance settlement has 3 forms: cable transfer, mail transfer and demand draft.
1.1.3 Telephone banking, online banking, transfer service, and self-service equipment deposit, and withdrawal and transfer services refer to the services provided by the Bank?for the convenience of the clients in making transfer through telephone banking and online banking as well as in performing deposit, withdrawal and transfer through self-service equipment.
1.1.4 Bank draft is the bill issued by the issuing bank that will pay the collector or bill holder unconditionally at the sight of the bill according to the actual settlement amount.
1.2 Settlement in foreign currency
1.2.1 Personal purchase of foreign currency means that the client may apply to CEB for the purchase of foreign currency for the normal private needs due to studying abroad, traveling aboard, making a pilgrimage, visiting relatives, going to a doctor overseas, making a business tour and accepting overseas employment. No restriction for current place of residence, both convenient and quick.
1.2.2 Exchange of foreign currency means that the client may make the exchange of USD, EUR and HKD etc. at any of the outlets of CEB.
1.2.3 Offshore remittance (cable transfer) means that the client may choose this service provided by CEB when he/she has to make remittance for his/her child or any other person studying abroad, whereby the client need not carry a large amount of cash. The remittance path is convenient, quick and safe.
1.2.4 Agency sales of traveler¡¯s check refers to the service whereby CEB sells the traveler¡¯s checks as agent which are issued by overseas banks or financial institutions. The traveler¡¯s check may be exchanged for cash or directly used at the banks, international hotels, restaurants and any other consumptive place both at home and abroad. It is one of the pay orders commonly used by international travelers, featured by fixed nominal amount, convenient for exchange, easy to carry and simple to report the loss and make the reissuance.
1.2.5 Clean collection service means the settlement service whereby the client submits to the Bank the financial bill without commercial papers attached, and the Bank will entrust the foreign collection agency bank to collect the amount of the bill submitted by the client.
2 Bank card
Bank card is the payment instrument issued by CEB to the society, with all or part of the functions such as consumer credit, transfer settlement and cash deposit or withdrawal.
3 Agency
Agency intermediary service means the service whereby CEB accepts the trust of the client, deals with the economic affairs designated by the client, provides financial services and collects a sum of fees, including agency collection and payment, agency securities management, agency insurance, agency commercial bank, agency collection with the bank card issued by any other bank and agency transmission of materials for applying for visa etc.
3.1 Agency collection and payment service means that CEB accepts the trust of the client to deal with the collection or payment of designated amounts taking advantage of its own settlement convenience, for example, collection of the expenses of public utilities, collection of the administrative fees and financial charges, agency salary and withholding the repayment of housing mortgage consumption loans etc.
3.2 Agency securities means that CEB accepts the trust to issue, cash and market different kinds of valuable securities, which also includes agency payment for principal and interest of securities, delivery of stock dividend and agency capital clearing for securities etc. Valuable securities here mainly include certificate T-bond, corporate bond, financial bond, stocks and funds.
3.3 Agency insurance service means that CEB accepts the trust of insurance companies to deal with insurance businesses as agent. Agency insurance service generally includes agency sales of policies and agency payment of premium.
3.4 Other agency services, including collection with bank cards as agent of any other bank and agency transmission of materials for applying for visa.
4 Transaction
Transaction intermediary service means that CEB performs the fund transaction by means of different financial instruments in order to satisfy the demands of the client for value guarantee or self risk management. Currently, CEB starts the personal foreign exchange trading service, which means that individual client may convert freely foreign exchange (or foreign currency) with the Bank.
5 Others
Safe deposit boxes, presentation of deposit certificate, issuance of foreign exchange holding certificate and other services that cannot be classified into any of the above categories.
6 Special services (financing abroad)
Financing aboard service means that CEB provides the clients going to different countries for studying, traveling, business or migration with the one-stop professional financing abroad services such as issuance of deposit certificate, loan for study abroad, issuance of loan certificate, personal purchase of foreign exchange, offshore remittance, international credit card, agency sales of traveling checks, exchange of foreign currency, personal market of foreign currency and clean collection. |
