Recently, China Everbright Bank officially launched its new service to the public sector ¨C ¡°Bank-Customs Link¡±, providing enterprises with 24/7 non-stop electronic customs clearance and ¡°offshore customs declaration, offshore tax payment¡± services.
Bank-Customs Link is one of CEB¡¯s latest online banking services customized for import and export companies to conduct electronic customs declaration, non-paper customs clearance and online tax payment, which combines CEB¡¯s accounting system, the online payment system of China Electronic Port and Customs. Enterprises can simply log into China Electronic Port¡¯s website from their offices and then conduct tax payment and customs declaration in a convenient, expedient and highly efficient manner. It will simplify payment procedures, optimize business process, notably improve the efficiency of customs declaration, and effectively promote the tight integration of enterprises¡¯ capital flow, information flow and goods flow. Various taxes and fees may be paid online, including: import and export customs duty, anti-dumping tax, special customs duty, value-added tax for import, consumption tax for import, interest for tax deferment, and service charge for supervision, etc.
The launching of Bank-Customs Link is another achievement attributed to the Bank¡¯s strengthening of innovation. Since the beginning of this year, CEB has been very active in a series of project competitions and product innovations, especially in several nation-wide ones; and the Bank has been in the lead in many fronts: winning the tender for the project of managing non-tax revenue for the Central Government; becoming the only domestic commercial bank to be authorized on three projects in managing the state¡¯s treasury affairs; and becoming the lead manager for short-term financing bonds. So far it has issued a total of RMB 16.7 billion, accounting for 51% of total market issuance. On August 2nd, at the Corporate Pension Fund assessment event that has drawn wide attention, the Bank again demonstrated its strength and competitiveness by becoming the custodian and account manager.

And import and export enterprises can pay their taxes online at anytime. The entire process from sending the payment command to applying for goods inspection and clearance takes only 3 to 5 minutes. Bank-Customs Link also realizes ¡°offshore customs declaration, offshore tax payment¡±, that is, as long as an enterprise is registered in the Bank-Customs Link system, the system will pay taxes online for goods imported or exported at any customs, which can save the time used for traveling and break the barrier of distance.
With regard to outstanding import and export enterprises, on the basis of Bank-Customs Link, CEB also provides another value-added service ¨C ¡°Bank-Customs Guarantee¡±. By presenting the Bank¡¯s Letter of Guarantee, enterprises can enjoy preferential policies such as ¡°release first, tax later¡±, which will greatly improve customs clearance efficiency. In addition, CEB is about to launch ¡°Bank-Treasury Link¡± services centering on managing non-tax revenue for the Central Government, ¡°Bank-Tax Link¡± services centering on local tax collection, and ¡°Bank-Bank Link¡± services centering on asset settlement for local commercial banks. On top of that, CEB aims to upgrade and renovate its online banking system, providing centralized capital management and cash management for large-scale enterprises and conglomerates, and providing safe, efficient and practical online services for new and old clients.
