¡ª¡ªBuild ¡°Green Express¡± for Online Tariff Payment
Recently, the 24-hour ¡°Bank-Customs Guarantee¡± service co-launched by China Everbright Bank and China Customs has successfully completed the test running in Ningbo and was applied to 32 Customs in China on March 1.
As one of the ¡°Bank-Customs¡± serial products developed by China Everbright Bank, the ¡°Bank-Customs Guarantee¡± service is developed base on the ¡°Bank-Customs Express¡± services according to the regulations of China Customs on online tariff payment. Characterized by ¡°24/7¡± around-the-clock clearance service and ¡°Inter-city Declaration and Tariff Payment¡±, the ¡°Bank-Customs Guarantee¡± service enables the bank to issue confirmed tariff guarantee to local customs and brings the preference of ¡°Declaration before Tariff Payment¡± to enterprises. With the comprehensive provision of ¡°Bank-Customs Guarantee¡± service in 32 Customs of China, a new ¡°Green Express¡± for online tariff payment will be established, providing convenience for enterprises¡¯ tariff payment and meeting their demands on clearance and tax payment.
An enterprise shall meet three conditions to use the ¡°Bank-Customs Guarantee¡± service: 1. it shall be a user of the ¡°Bank-Customs Express¡± service; 2. it shall sign a comprehensive credit agreement and a guarantee agreement; and 3. it shall file the guarantee with China Customs according to the agreement.
China Everbright Bank started participating in the construction and reform of Chinese electronic ports in 2004; and as one of the first batch joint-stock commercial banks approved to engage in electronic port online tax payment service and online payment guarantee service, China Everbright Bank carried out in-depth and comprehensive cooperation with China Customs on development of electronic government channels and enhancement of clearance efficiency. As of the end of 2006, the ¡°Bank-Customs¡± products attracted more than 400 users, and provided professional, considerate and convenient online tax payment service for lost of renowned companies. The amount of tariff paid via China Everbright Bank led that of other joint-stock commercial banks, and the tariff paid via ¡°Bank-Customs Guarantee¡± accounts for nearly two thirds of the total guaranteed tariff collected by China Customs, representing a leading position on the market.
In recent years, China Everbright Bank successively launched a series of innovative and featured online banking products, and continuously strengthened the brand construction. The online banking brand ¨C E-Road Sunshine launched last year boosted the fast development of business. In 2006, the corporate business volume completed via online banking system reached RMB1.87 trillion, an increase of 361% from last year and representing a monthly trading volume of RMB156 billion on average.
