On November 2, 2007, China Everbright Bank became one of the 10 best Chinese banks in the country. This was announced at a ceremony held to unveil the results of the 2007 First Financial Daily’s Value Rating of Financial Brands. The rating, sponsored by the First Financial Daily in cooperation with famous international colleges of business administration and authoritative international consulting institutions, was a large annual event covering China’s financial industry.

　　Everbright Bank has insisted in recent years that its operation be customer-centered and market-oriented. It has constantly strengthened business innovation and cultivated operational uniqueness. As a result, the bank has been ranked first among its peers in innovative businesses, such as fixed-rate housing loans, short-term financing bonds, wealth management and fund transactions. In particular, its “sunshine wealth management” has become a brand-name business and enjoys the early-bird advantage in the industry. Bank-wide, the issuance of personal wealth management products has exceeded RMB 150 billion. With the issuance of Renminbi wealth management products accounting for 21 percent of the market in 2006, the bank has become the largest issuing bank in this respect and has been cited as the frontrunner for two consecutive years by Sina and Sohu Internet users.

　　In the field of wealth management, the bank has created 10 firsts. In 2004, the bank used the technique of bond asset securitization and developed the sunshine B plan for wealth management, which was the first Renminbi wealth management product ever offered by a Chinese bank. In April 2005, the bank developed the sunshine A+ plan for wealth management, which was the first Renminbi structuralized wealth management product. In December 2005, the bank used the principle of credit exchange and developed the sunshine C plan for wealth management, which was the first Renminbi credit-linked wealth management product and thus explored a way to transform credit risk from inside the bank to the market. In 2006, the bank took advantage of the trust system and developed the sunshine T plan for wealth management, which was the first trust wealth management product and realized the integration of wealth management with the trust market. In August 2006, the bank developed the first insurance-included wealth management product, which represented a new approach to banking-insurance cooperation. In September 2007, the bank developed the first structuralized wealth management product embedded with A-stock options, which became a new tool for investing in domestic stock markets. In the meantime, the bank became the first trustee of wealth management investment in the area of improving wealth management processes and risk management in 2005. In October 2006, the bank was the first to introduce both internal risk rating and external consultant rating for wealth management products, thus making the risk structure of wealth management products more transparent. In November 2006, the bank was the first to introduce inter-bank agent sales for wealth management products, thus promoting the common development of national and regional banks. In 2007, the bank was the first to develop a registration form for bank wealth management, thus fundizing the issuance of bank wealth management products.
