¡¡¡¡On January 17, 2008, SINA.com, the most influential portal website in China, published the selection results of 2007 Internet Grand Ceremony. China Everbright Bank (¡°CEB¡±) won the ¡°Annual Most Innovative Bank¡± award, the only eye-catching bank integrated brand award at the ceremony, for the second successive year following the year 2006. CEB ranked first in terms of online voting.
¡¡¡¡The award was decided jointly by online voting by netizens and evaluation by experts. One IP address was only allowed to cast one vote. The selection is authoritative and has strong market appeal and wide participation.
¡¡¡¡At the same time, in the general selection list of China wealth management sponsored by China Times, CEB Sunshine Business Trip Credit Card, Olympics Credit Card and Sunshine Wealth Management Card also won the awards of Best Business Trip Credit Card, Best Creative Idea Card and Excellent Wealth Management Card. Before then, CEB was also awarded the title ¡°One of the 10 Best Chinese Banks¡± selected by First Financial Daily in November 2007. In order to accommodate to the new situations of changing economic and financial environment and the transformation of banking operation, CEB has kept strengthening the innovation of management, system, business and service, and launched a large number of new products tailored to the needs of the general public over recent years. These products, while bringing convenience to the public, also energetically drive rapid development of the Bank¡¯s business.
¡¡¡¡In 2007, CEB sold nearly RMB100 billion worth of wealth management products, a year-on-year increase of 66%, continuing to lead the industry. As for investment banking, CEB underwrote 44 issues of short-term financing notes for 31 issuers, ranking first in terms of the number of issues and issuers. It also rapidly grabbed the market share of third-party depository business, establishing business relations with 42 securities brokerages in 2007, absorbing more than 700,000 customers, keeping ahead in domestic joint-stock banks. Its enterprise annuity business achieved mass growth. In 2007, CEB entered intro agreements with more than 2,100 enterprises, and managed 311,700 personal accounts, with assets under management of RMB4,431 million. Its bank-customs, bank-taxation and bank-finance series of new products have been recognized by the market, becoming new sources of business growth. With respect to the bank-customs business, CEB achieved online tax payment of 19 billion in 94,000 deals. Of which, ¡°Bank-Customs Guarantee¡± has guaranteed tax payment of RMB9 billion, accounting for 40% of the market share and ranking first in the industry. It completed direct payment of RMB121.7 billion, authorized payment of RMB11.1 billion and non-tax income of RMB15.8 billion on behalf of the central financial department, ranking first in terms of the agency business and holding an advantaged position over other banks¡
¡¡¡¡Besides business and product innovation, CEB also innovates in management and service, and is influential in the sector.
¡¡¡¡In order to adapt to the new situations of the banking reform and transformation, CEB has launched a series of new management measures in recent years. For example, it launched the balanced scorecard, implemented an all-around budget management by business lines, and introduced an intensive operational mode to the corporate banking. It also improved an all-round risk management system, and implemented the CRO dispatching system in branches and business lines.
